It takes about 35 minutes to drive from downtown CDA to the Spokane International Airport, the largest airport facility in the area. Private aircraft can land easily at the Coeur d'Alene Airport located 5 miles north. Those who live in and visit Coeur d'Alene enjoy a moderate climate with distinct seasons. The area's weather is strongly influenced by airmasses from the west and southwest, creating a much more moderate climate than many visitors expect. In the summer months, daily high temperatures are in the mid 70's to upper 80's. In winter months, daily high temperatures rise to the mid 30's - upper 40's (averages). There isn't much snow in Coeur d'Alene during typical winter seasons, however, there is plenty of snow in the nearby mountains providing excellent skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and other winter sport opportunities. |
